    Feeling Drained?

Feeling drained? You’re not alone. I had a conversation recently with one of my best friends about work and life. It was an interesting conversation because it showed how at 25/26 years old in 2018 we are fighting to get to where we want as quickly as we can. Frankly it doesn’t happen like that, we can hope it does but it doesn’t. When you are 18 and heading to uni you think by 25/26 I will be at the top of my industry, settled, with a home I am proud of and a nice car to drive about in. If only that was true, 25/26 doesn’t creep up on…

Grams Edinburgh – A Flexitarians Dream

I have just left Grams Edinburgh after stuffing my face for lunch. I have to confess this wasn’t my first meal from Grams Edinburgh but it was my first chance to sit in and eat – previously I have tried their Meal Prep service and had food to take away. I would say that this time I got the full Grams Edinburgh experience as I didn’t have to eat it at my work desk. I did work, but I always do I was actually looking for recipe inspiration for the coming months. Any way back to Grams Edinburgh and the delicious Flexitarian menu. The great thing about Grams is that…

    Fussy Eater? No, Flexitatian

Flexitarian /noun: A vegetarian that can’t live without crispy bacon. A lot of people think I am a fussy eater. Sometime I eat chicken but only if I have cut off all the yucky parts first. Sometime I eat bacon but only when it is crispy. I have another name for this – Flexitarian. I have been eating a ‘Flexitarian’ diet since I can remember. I have an issue with the texture of meat. I think it was a grizzly bit of sausage meat that finished my meat eating days. Now I do still eat meat but with caution. Bacon when it is crispy, chicken when I cook it, and…

    Grams Edinburgh Meal Prep.

Hi, I recently tried the Grams Edinburgh Meal Prep for 2 weeks – I had 2 breakfasts, 2 lunches and 2 snacks each week. I’m not going to lie this is what I need in my life, because in lazy when it comes to food prep. I don’t have the patience, I get hungry when I make it and the thought of planning it is too much! I did, however, love Grams Meal Prep, it is something I could really get used to, pick it up on a Sunday like you would your shopping, keep it in the fridge and microwave when you want to eat! You end up being…

    Next Level – Stage 2

Week 3 and 4 have come and gone far too fast. Coming to the end of week 4 and I wish I could rewind to week 1! Never thought I would say that but here I am. These two weeks have been the hardest mentally though. We worked on deadlifts in week 2 and it shook me a little. I think I can honestly say that at no point in my life, as of yet, I have been faced with my mind and my determination coming face to face. I will no doubt speak about this in more detail during week 5 and 6 but I was surprised how much…

‘New Year, New Me’ – More Like Time I Made A Change

Hi, So this is part one of my journey. I use the word journey strongly as there is a change I will run out of fuel at some point, need a pit stop for an unhealthy service station snack and probably need some help on getting my vehicle (body and mind) into working order. I have enlisted the expertise, knowledge and support of 2 personal trainers that have started a group fitness and mindset program at a gym in Edinburgh. I spotted the ad on Instagram around November and I knew by December I would be feeling like a whale and looking like one too – okay, not quite but…

How to succeed at life at 25 years old.

First things first: stop panicking! Take a deep breath…in…out… Okay, now that we are calm and in the right frame of mind to sort out our point of view, we can start. I’m 25 years old and I know exactly how you are feeling. By any chance do you feel: 1. Panicked about work – like you aren’t in the job you thought you would be by 25? 2. Worried about money – why is there a monster in your bank account that eats all your money when you aren’t looking? and 3. Stressing about a house – how do you save for it because you have the monster in…
